Legal & Compliance Framework

Inspectalyze — Last updated June 5, 2026

At Inspectalyze, we recognize that home inspectors operate in a high-liability environment where accuracy, documentation, and compliance are critical. Our platform is designed not only to streamline reporting, but to support inspectors in managing risk responsibly. This Legal & Compliance Framework outlines the policies, safeguards, and structural protections built into the Inspectalyze platform.

1. Platform Purpose & Scope

Inspectalyze is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform designed to assist users in generating inspection-related reports and documentation.

Inspectalyze does not:

  • Perform inspections
  • Provide professional or legal advice
  • Guarantee compliance with any Standards of Practice (SOP), regulations, or licensing requirements

Users retain full responsibility for all inspection activities, findings, and reports.

2. User Responsibility & Professional Judgment

By using Inspectalyze, you acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for:

  • Conducting inspections
  • Verifying all observations and data
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and Standards of Practice

Any content generated using the platform must be independently reviewed and validated. Inspectalyze is a tool only and does not replace professional judgment.

All reports produced through Inspectalyze are the sole responsibility of the user.

3. In-Platform Acknowledgment

To reinforce user responsibility, Inspectalyze may require explicit acknowledgment during account creation and/or report generation, including confirmation that:

  • The platform is a tool only
  • The user is solely responsible for report accuracy and completeness

These acknowledgments are logged and maintained as part of the platform's compliance records.

4. Report-Level Disclaimers

Inspectalyze includes standardized disclaimer language within generated reports, which may include:

“This report was generated using Inspectalyze software. The inspector is solely responsible for all observations, findings, and conclusions. Inspectalyze does not perform inspections or guarantee accuracy.”

Users may customize reports; however, Inspectalyze strongly recommends retaining disclaimer language to support risk management practices.

5. No Reliance on Software

Users agree not to rely on Inspectalyze as a substitute for independent professional judgment. The platform may provide templates, automation, or suggestions for convenience only. All outputs must be reviewed and verified prior to delivery to clients.

6. Data Ownership & Usage

Users retain ownership of all data uploaded to or generated within the platform, including inspection reports, images and media, and client information. Inspectalyze processes and stores data solely for the purpose of delivering and improving the Service.

Users are responsible for:

  • Obtaining any necessary client consent
  • Complying with applicable data privacy laws

7. Data Security & Retention

Inspectalyze implements reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect user data. However, no system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for maintaining account credentials and access controls.

Data retention and deletion policies are governed by the platform's Privacy Policy and applicable system settings.

8. Audit Logs & Activity Records

Inspectalyze maintains internal audit logs, which may include user actions, report edits and revisions, and timestamps and activity history. These logs may be used for security monitoring, troubleshooting, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.

9. Acceptable Use & Platform Integrity

Users agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the platform
  • Upload malicious code or attempt unauthorized access
  • Use the platform for fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful purposes
  • Misrepresent the capabilities or role of Inspectalyze

Inspectalyze reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards.

10. Third-Party Services

Inspectalyze does not sell, promote, or market third-party products or services directly to users' clients without explicit user authorization. Any third-party integrations or services used in connection with Inspectalyze are governed by their own terms and policies.

11. Billing & Subscription Terms

Inspectalyze operates on a subscription-based model. Users agree that:

  • Fees are billed in accordance with selected subscription plans
  • Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled
  • Refunds are not guaranteed and are subject to platform policy

Failure to maintain an active subscription may result in restricted access to the platform and associated data.

12. Service Availability

Inspectalyze strives to maintain reliable service; however, we do not guarantee continuous or uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or immediate resolution of technical issues. The platform is provided on an “as available” basis.

13. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the Inspectalyze platform — including software, design, branding, and underlying technology — remain the exclusive property of Inspectalyze. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform.

14. Copyright & Content Policy (DMCA)

Inspectalyze respects intellectual property rights and complies with applicable copyright laws. If you believe content hosted on the platform infringes your rights, you may submit a notice including:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work
  • Description of the infringing material
  • Contact information

Inspectalyze reserves the right to remove content and restrict access in response to valid claims.

15. Limitation of Platform Role

Inspectalyze operates solely as a technology provider. Nothing within the platform or this framework shall be interpreted as:

  • Establishing an agency relationship
  • Creating a partnership or joint venture
  • Assigning liability for inspection services

Users act independently at all times.

16. Force Majeure

Inspectalyze shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, cyberattacks, infrastructure failures, or government actions.

17. Updates to This Framework

Inspectalyze may update this Legal & Compliance Framework from time to time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any updates.
