1. Who We Are

Inspectalyze ("Inspectalyze," "we," "our," or "us") operates the Inspectalyze platform — software for home inspection professionals to manage inspections, deliver reports, and communicate with clients. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information about inspectors and their teams who subscribe to and use our platform.

For information about how individual inspectors handle their clients' data, refer to that inspector's own privacy policy, accessible from their client-facing communications.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you create and use an Inspectalyze account:

• Account information: Name, email address, company name, license number, and password (hashed).
• Business profile: Company logo, signature, service areas, pricing, and other profile fields you choose to complete.
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the platform — used to improve the product.
• Billing information: Subscription plan and payment method details, processed and stored by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
• Inspection data you enter: Client names, property addresses, inspection reports, photos, and related records created by you while using the platform.
• Communications: Support requests and any messages you send to us.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Inspectalyze platform.
• To process subscription payments and manage your billing.
• To send transactional emails — account confirmation, password resets, billing receipts.
• To send product updates and feature announcements (you may opt out at any time).
• To diagnose bugs, analyze usage patterns, and improve the platform.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Data We Do Not Sell

Inspectalyze does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your clients' data to any third party for marketing or advertising purposes. Ever.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate the platform:

• Supabase — Database and authentication infrastructure.
• Stripe — Payment processing. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Resend — Transactional email delivery.
• Vercel — Hosting and infrastructure.

Each provider is contractually required to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we direct.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and inspection data for as long as your subscription is active.

Published inspection reports are retained indefinitely, regardless of subscription status. If you cancel your subscription or stop using the platform, any inspection reports you have published — and the client-accessible links associated with them — will remain hosted and accessible on Inspectalyze unless and until you submit a written deletion request to privacy@inspectalyze.com. We believe permanent report access is in the best interest of the homeowners and clients who received those reports.

For non-published inspection data (drafts, account settings, billing records), if you cancel your account that data is retained for 90 days to allow for reactivation or export, then permanently deleted. Billing records may be retained longer as required by law.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted data storage, and role-based access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will notify you promptly in the event of a breach affecting your data.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data via your account settings.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Export your inspection data at any time from the platform.
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link.

9. Cookies

We use only essential session cookies required to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

The Inspectalyze platform is intended for use by licensed home inspection professionals and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you by email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
